Snow’s

Snow's Clam Chowder has been a favorite New England quick chowder tradition since it was originally founded in Pine Point, Maine, back in 1920. The company has always offered a breadth of canned goods, but their most popular product has inevitably been their New England Clam Chowder; made from F.H. Snow’s old family recipe. Both Snow’s packaging and identity have seen quite an evolution over the past century, but their brand mark has become recognizable as their iconic red fishing boat.

Since Bumble Bee Seafood’s acquisition of the brand in 2004, they had preserved the integrity of the same red fishing boat — but finally decided it was time for a refresh that paid tribute to the 100-year-old brand.

Not wanting to fluctuate far from home, we made minor adjustments to the iconic boat, but pulled typographic inspiration from their early/mid-century version of the logo that featured an art deco era san serif typeface — which influenced the retro-throwback thematic we used for the new look of the brand.
