9Points

9Points is a private Boston-based acupuncture practice, heavily influenced by both Chinese and Western medicine. Founder + DC., Bryan Kent, is not only a licensed chiropractor and acupuncturist, but a great friend of mine. He approached me to help set his brand into motion.

After creating the initial logo variations and marks, we worked together to establish the brand color palette and typefaces — tacking down a more specific set of brand guidelines to preserve the 9Points brand look + mission moving forward.

Brand Identity

Role:

Art Director + Designer

In traditional Chinese culture, an individual or company’s “chop” is an official seal or stamp that replaces the use of a signature in Western countries. Typically a chop is used with red ink. We felt a modern interpretation of such a mark would be a nod to 9Points’ traditional Chinese practices, and could live independently as an ownable representation of the brand.
